Details.
The signal
generator, or "genny", is used with a Cable Avoiding Tool. The
genny contains a signal transmitter. This is connected to a
pipe, and the signal is transmitted by the pipe as it passes
underground. The Cable Avoiding tool is then used to trace the
path and depth of the pipe.
